Silver Linings Chef


Jo knew she wanted to be a chef at the age of 10: “I’d always cooked with my nan, the first dish I remember making was her famous coffee buns.”

After college, her career started in a 5-star hotel under a Michelin starred chef. It was a very challenging experience, and she was the only female chef in the kitchen brigade!

She became a Head Chef at 22, and has worked in several great quality restaurants between Hampshire, Surrey and London. She has also worked for various contract caterers and managed hospitality and events in companies such as investment banks, law firms & conference centres. In the last few years, she has been focusing on weddings, pop up restaurants, private cheffing & teaching cookery. 

What Jo loves the most about cooking is the constant evolution in the industry, from ingredients to techniques to what customers want.

Her advice to all Silver Liners? “Be confident…cooking should be fun!”
